Wellness Coaching is a vehicle for helping people to achieve a higher level of well-being and performance in work and life, particularly when change is hard. Coaching is a growth promoting relationship that elicits autonomous motivation, increases the capacity to change, and facilitates a change process through visioning, goal setting, and accountability, which at it’s best leads to sustainable change for the good.
The health and wellness coaching research literature while at an early stage, with studies and latest developments in coaching education and skills training, is beginning to show that coaching interventions, multiple in-person or telephone coaching sessions for 3 months or longer, are improving health outcomes for several chronic diseases.
As a Health & Wellness Coach, I work with individuals ranging from 30 years to 50 years. The main areas of concern are stress, anxiety, depression, burn out, lack of engagement in life, having their work lives permeate their personal lives. I offer a leading edge structure to overcome low functioning well-being, taking individuals from overwhelm to a calmer state, working with them through individual coaching sessions or offering wellness workshops in a group setting.
My ‘Making Change that Lasts’ Workshop, encourages participants to look at all areas of their well-being, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical and work out what changes they would like to see. I use resources and tools to assist in their ability to seek the answers they are looking for.
As it takes 90 days to reset habits and to create sustainable change, we delve into the areas of change they are wanting to make. They are given a leading edge structure to help implement changes on a weekly basis. This allows them to set doable goals, customised for them, allowing them to reach their 3 month goals and vision. Resetting habits and creating successful sustainable change.
This successful structure has seen many clients create optimal well-being, taking them from where they are to where they want to be, fostering self-efficacy, self-empowerment, confidence and a ‘can do’ attitude.
This workshop is run at the beginning of each school term, 4 times a year.
The 4 Elements Workshop addresses all 4 elements of health & wellness -mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. It’s the day to day things that we do that end up having the greatest impact on our health. Everyday we make choices that either contribute to our health or take away from it. So this workshop is designed to empower you to make the best possible choices when it comes to radiant health.
I introduce you to methods that you can implement into your daily routine to enhance and provoke better health. These methods are based on ancient wisdom and philosophies backed by modern day scientific research. You will learn short 10 minute exercises, breathing techniques and the 7 main principles of health. I speak about nutrition and the link between food and mood which brings the mental and emotional elements to light.
I will teach you ways on how to maximise your nutritional intake that leaves you feeling well, by teaching you about colon cleansing. This practice has been happening since the ancient Egyptians! I will also touch on the importance of supporting the 4 channels of elimination: urination, defecation, respiration and perspiration.
Intermittent Fasting is an art and a science to extend your lifespan. Every study in Gerontology (the study of longevity) shows this and the latest scientific research is showing profound effects. Some effects from IF range from more energy, better digestion, low cancer rates, increased longevity, anti-aging and weight loss! This lifestyle was a normal lifestyle practice amongst ancient cultures such as the Egyptians, Chinese and Greeks.
Therefore, combining all of the above into a workshop, will take you from being stressed, overwhelmed, disengaged and stuck to energised, happy, focused and loving life!
