Wellness Coaching is a vehicle for helping people to achieve a higher level of well-being and performance in work and life, particularly when change is hard.
Coaching is a growth promoting relationship that elicits autonomous motivation, increases the capacity to change, and facilitates a change process through visioning, goal setting, and accountability, which at it’s best leads to sustainable change for the good.
The health and wellness coaching research literature while at an early stage, with studies trailing the latest developments in coaching education and skills training, is beginning to show that coaching interventions, multiple in-person or telephone coaching sessions for 3 months or longer, are improving health
outcomes for several chronic diseases.
As a Health & Wellness Coach, I have witnessed pressures personally, having worked in the Early Childhood Industry since 2010. Working within the industry has allowed me to experience working in a Corporate environment, particularly at council level.
The main areas of concern are stress, anxiety, depression, burn out, lack of engagement in life, having work lives permeate personal lives.
And it also impacts business:
• There are increasing levels of sick leave
• There are more on-costs of casual staff creating a biggerthan-
expected casual pool to gap-fill
• The planning for Room Leaders is affected
• The Framework Outcomes and Quality Area Standards are
jeopardized amongst staff and children.
• There is a domino effect on morale and culture of the Centre,
which can result in staff turnover or performance issues.
Now, I am a qualified and highly experienced Wellness Coach, Trainer & Assessor as well as having an Early Childhood Diploma level industry background. I’m perfectly positioned to make a difference – to help Centre
management and staff address the pains they are confronted with. With my experience in behaviour change through coaching, positive psychology and stress management, I believe I can help make a difference.
I would like to talk to you about collaborating on a tailored pilot Wellness Program. The pilot program will encourage participants to look at all areas of the work environment and work out what changes they would like to see within both the workplace and their own lives.
We would narrow down the areas for change and set goals, planning for the specific obstacles they may have to overcome. We would work alongside participants to help them understand what is needed to make long-term change, and to help them act on that in the next stages of their journey. The outcome I envision is a huge shift in the culture and morale of the workplace.
It would mean happier, calmer, more resilient and motivated staff who are better-equipped to handle stress, and times of peak stress. This would mean fewer sick days, lower casual staff costs and better planning. It would also mean better adherence to standards and protocols, a more proactive attitude, and happier kids.
This program will be effective in creating a more positive, efficient workplace with better quality teaching and an enviable workplace culture. It will help Centres meet all Framework Outcomes and Quality Area Standards at an exceeding level and create the system changes you have been longing for.
Due to my qualifications and background being in Early Childhood, the focus is this. Though the beauty of this program is because it has a basic structure, it’s technically custom-built therefore it will suit any corporate environment.
I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your thoughts on the concept, and on how we can make this work for you.
